Description
1/4 scale resin statue, dimensions approx. 45 x 35 x 35 cm on decorative base. Finished and hand-painted model in a limited edition of 499 copies.
Cowboy Bebop is much, much more than a science fiction series. It is a story of love, hate… and revenge. Julia was one of the most effective agents of the Red Dragons gang, just like Spike. But she was also Vicious’ lover. When she saved Spike’s life and they fell in love, they both knew that he would never allow them to live their love. Running away was the only solution. But there was no way out… And so the story began.
Our team worked hard and passionately to reproduce as faithfully as possible one of the most poignant illustrations of the series, representing the two lovers. A younger Spike sports the “evil” design of his mob days, while Julia wears her classic black suit. Her golden hair falls gracefully over her hips.
This fleeting embrace embodies the unbreakable bond between them; both have a slightly sad look in their eyes, revealing their awareness of the impossible nature of their love. But Spike’s determination is stronger than ever here.
Seated on the wooden chair recreated from the series’ end credits sequence, his right arm can be displayed with his (removable) cigarette or with his trusty Jericho. An additional Jericho and a set of red roses are included for a more personalized display.
The series’ iconic logo can be displayed or removed from the base at will.
The base’s surface, with its piano-like finish, delicately mirrors the shapes of Spike and Julia.
Developed in close collaboration with the Sunrise team, the figure was supervised at every stage by the series’ original designer, Mr. Toshihiro Kawamoto.
